Christina Connors (Ensemble)
Christina Connors in honored to be a part of the Respect cast here at the 26th St. Theater. She has been performing professionally for over 10 years after having graduated with a BA in music Theater from The Hartt School Of Music in the University of Hartford, CT where she is originally from. Christina recently returned to the U.S. after spending the last 3 years over in Europe and Brazil working with Costa Cruise Lines as their Headline Production singer. Her favorite Music Theater roles include: Mary in The Life, Sarah Brown in Guys And Dolls, Laurie in Oklahoma, Carla in Nine, Mallory in City Of Angels, and Marion in Music Man. She has been seen throughout South Florida performing her own woman cabaret show as well as being a vocalist with the traveling theater group “Songs of Broadway”. When Christina is not performing, she is known as “The Angel That Kneads You” working as a licensed massage therapist. Special thanks to Phil Hinton for believing in my talent. To my wonderful family, Mom, Dad, Erik and of course my ever so special niece Allyson, I love you guys!!! Thanks for all of your love and support. Paulette Dozier (Ensemble)
Currently completing her Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts, jazz stylist, Paulette Dozier
continues to excite audiences as one of the original cast members of RESPECT. Some of her previous musical theater credits include: La Cage Aux Folles (Jacqueline – Carbonell nomination), 1940s’ Radio Hour (Geneva Lee Brown – Carbonell nomination), Parade (Angela) and Jerry’s Girls. Miki Edelman (Dr. Dorothy Marcic)
Miki is delighted to be the link to Dorothy's uplifting story of women, and have the opportunity to work with this talented cast. She was seen most recently at Broward Stage Door Theater as Boo Levy in The Last Night of Ballyhoo and Annie in Bubbe Meises/Bubbe Stories at the Atlantis Playhouse. Previous productions at the Royal Palm and Oakland West Dinner Theaters include High Spirits, Seesaw, Bedroom Farce and Anniversary Waltz. In addition, she has enjoyed dramatic roles in Wait Until Dark, The Mousetrap, Kennedy's Children and as Aldonza in Man of La Mancha. Miki is proud to be a former New Yorker and graduate of the H.S. of Performing Arts. Love to my favorite fans, Mark, Warren, Dan and Michelle. Monica Griffin (Ensemble)
Monica is very excited to join to cast of RESPECT, thus making her Broward Stage Door Theatre debut. Monica has been in South Florida for the past 5 years and has been very fortunate to have met and worked with an amazing theatre community. Monica was last seen in the Tamarac Theatre's production of The All Night Strut, and just last year, had the pleasure of playing the role of "Frenchie" in the Carbonell nominated musical, The Life at the Atlantis Playhouse. An alumnus of Florida Atlantic University's Theatre Department, some of her other credits include: "Marjorie Baverstock" in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, "Sally Bowles" in Cabaret, "Sister Mary Hubert" in Nunsense, "Palace" in 900 Onenonta, and most recently "Peggy" in the Ghost Light Series production of The Taking of Miss Janie. Monica would like to thank Gail Shank, Sharon Donaldson, and Phil Hinton for such a wonderful opportunity, as well as her family and friends (especially Joe and Rachel) for their constant love and support.

Helene Lundstrom (Rotating Ensemble)
Born and raised in Malmö, Sweden. She studied musical theatre at Ballett Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden. “I have lived in New York for the past six years, where I also studied musical theatre at AMDA for two years. I’m still very new to Florida! I played the role of The Narrator in Webber’s Joseph to sold-out houses for two years, and won the Jullan Kindahl award for my work. For Disney: I was the voice of Pocahontas in the Swedish cast, as well as in Pocahontas II, Journey to a New World, and I also worked on the Little Mermaid and The Lion King. I am currently submitting my own music to record labels and hope for the best!! I am delighted, and very thankful to be a part of this cast.” www.helenelundstrom.com

Paula Sackett (Ensemble)
Paula was most recently seen as Lady Beaconsfield in the Broward Stage Door Theatre’s production of Jekyll and Hyde. Her acting credits include roles in Anything Goes, Crazy for You, Prisoner of Second Avenue, A Stoop on Orchard Street, Steel Magnolias, Noises Off, A Perfect Ganesh, Eleemosynary, Mame, plus Nellie Lovett in Sweeney Todd and The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods. Paula has been active in the theatre, onstage and off, since she was a young girl in Chicago, Illinois, and more recently she spent several years in theatre management in Palm Beach County. She is married to Newschannel 5 anchor Jim Sackett and they have two grown children: Mick and Elizabeth.

Marlyn Sanchez (Swing)
Marlyn has appeared as the leading soprano for The Songs of Broadway Company for the last five years. Among her dramatic roles with the touring group, were Maria in West Side Story, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, and Liesl in Sound of Music. Her other credits include Guinevere in Camelot and Diana Morales in Chorus Line. She is also in demand as a popular latin singer and was associated with the girl pop group Blush, which appeared frequently in Miami and South Beach. Her career has also taken her into print and television commercials for Spanish stations.

Dorothy Marcic - Author
Dorothy is a professor at Vanderbilt University and the author of twelve books, including RESPECT: Women and Popular Music, the basis for this performance, a project she has been working on since 1999. She grew up in Pewaukee, Wisconsin and actually had an Aunt Lilly, Uncle Vernie, and a mother named Leone, all of whose stories are incorporated in the show. Dorothy's other books include Understanding Management, Managing with the Wisdom of Love, and four titles with Golden Books. Many years ago Dr. Marcic worked on the TV show, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. She has traveled the U.S. and the world doing the one-woman show, The Musical History of Women, which has been well-received in Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Holland, England and South Africa. She's appeared on C-SPAN, CMT, and Bravo Network. As a Fulbright Scholar, she taught at the Univ. of Economics in Prague, where she lived for four years. She is married to Dick Daft and has three incredible daughters--Roxanne, Solange and Elizabeth--who are her proudest achievements. She is grateful to the women in her family for inspiring much of the piece. Peter Loewy - Director
Mr. Loewy is very pleased to return to The Cuillo Centre where he directed last season's smash musical comedy, PAGEANT. He is the founder and Producing Artistic Director of the Forum Theatre Company, in Metuchen NJ now celebrating its 20th season. He has produced and directed over 90 plays and musicals at the Forum. Mr. Loewy worked on Broadway with librettist Michael Stewart, director Joe Layton and legendary producer David Merrick on such shows as BARNUM; BRING BACK BIRDIE and 42ND STREET. He has directed world premier plays and musicals throughout the country. KISS THE BRIDE a world premiere farce at Theatre Fest, the professional theatre in residence at Montclair State University, the musical CROONERS at the Phoenix theatre in Arizona and the musical, KUNI -LEML, at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, to name a few. Mr. Loewy also toured his hilarious production of the Allen Sherman musical, HELLO MUDDAH, HELLO FADDUH to both Boston and Florida. He imported from London's King Head Theatre the musical MR. CINDERS and subsequently produced and directed the North American premier at the Forum Theatre. He commissioned a new work about WWII freedom fighter, Hannah Sennesh, entitled, HANNAH SENNESH, THE MISSION HOME which he directed at The Forum Theatre Company and later was transferred to The Kings Head Theatre in London. Television and film credits include the Emmy Award winning children's series, "Unicorn Tales", for NBC. He also developed and wrote the award winning short subject musical DRACULA BITES THE BIG APPLE. He would like to thank, Gail, Zac, Dean, Bob and the entire staff of the Cuillo Centre for their dedication to this production and working tirelessly to bring the highest quality entertainment to the theatergoers of South Florida.

Phil Hinton - Production Music Director/ Music Arrangements
Phil was, for many years, a pianist, arranger and conductor for the BBC in London, UK. He has also arranged and conducted more than 250 albums for artists such as Anthony Newley, Shirley Bassey, Howard Keel, Elton John, Vince Hill, Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Paul McCartney to name just a few. He was Shirley Bassey's personal music director for three years and Vince Hill's for nine years. Since permanently relocating to the USA in 1994, he has directed countless theatre shows all over the USA as well as having toured with Aretha Franklin and Jim Baily. He has also given many classical and jazz piano recitals around the USA and on several cruise ships, including the world-famous QE2. Phil was also conductor of the Florida Pops Concert orchestra for three years.

Marc Carmen - Dance Captain
Currently Marc also serves as the Production Stage Manager and Dance Captain for the West Palm Beach production of “Respect”. Marc is thrilled to return to the Cuillo Center after doing “Dream” and “Phantom”. Marc recently worked with the National Tour of “Fosse”. Marc’s performing credits have taken him from NYC to England. Favorite shows include 5 productions of “Crazy for You”, multiple productions of “A Chorus Line” including the movie with Michael Douglas and “Mame” with Sally Kellerman. Marc performed in 14 shows at the Jupiter Theatre and served as Dance Captain for most of the productions. As a Director and Choreographer he holds five residential credits at various theatres. He has staged such shows as “Cabaret” (revival), “Grease” (revival), “nite Mother”, and most recently “Rumors”. Marc would to thank Gail, Peter, Zach and Dorothy for this wonderful opportunity and the wonderful ladies of “Respect”. Marc would also like to thank his parents, his fabulous brother Jimmy (I miss you), Monito and God for all His many blessing. I miss you, Miss Jean.

Sharon Donaldson - Stage Manager
A British native, Sharon has been involved in the media arts for many
years. Before coming to Florida in 2001 she worked in a managerial capacity
alongside many notable celebrities. As a writer she was responsible for
writing ‘ad’ campaigns for a London based animal charity. Her voice can also be heard on several British radio commercials. In Florida, she was Coordinator and resident voice-over artist for Comcast Spotlight’s Production Team. She is also a founder member of a production company producing commercials and pilots for television. In her spare time Sharon continues her writing and voice-over career. She is pleased to be part of ‘Respect’ and it’s continued ‘journey of women’.

Julie Kleiner- Choreographer
Julie is honored to be a part of the Cuillo Centre team! A native Floridian, she has been living in New York and is currently an NYU student - majoring in Theatre and Pre-Med - and working whenever time allows. Some of her favorite credits include; "Lisa" (and the dance captain off the set) in "Camp" (director Todd Graff, Producers IFC and Danny Devitto), "Hodel" in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Carbonell nominee), "Ensemble" in the Broadway National tour of BIG and "Carrie" in CARRIE - THE MUSICAL at Stagedoor Manor. She'd like to thank her friends, family and loving boyfriend for their constant support.

Mehr Mansuri - Production Consultant
As Associate Producer, Mehr has worked with NYC's Tony winning theater, New Group/ Dir. Scott Eliot (Avenue Q, Present Laughter) working on Oscar winner Mike Leigh's play, Goose Pimples (with Sam Rockwell); at the Los Angeles Theater Center; and with NY producer, Eric Krebs, in Leaving Watermaine starring Douglas Turner Ward and Ernie Hudson. As Founder & Artistic Director of award winning, Children's Theatre Company, Mehr has enjoyed directing James Earl Jones in for the Verizon Literacy Awards; over 9 commercials for UNICEF with Wynton Marsalis, Michael Douglas, Cisely Tyson, Harry Belafonte, and Roger Moore. She has appeared with CTC on Good Morning America, Regis & Kelly, Sesame Street and the new Tony Danza Show. Mehr has led the casting of several SAG & foreign feature films, and has herself performed in theater for over 15 years garnering the Drama-logue, LA Weekly and the Los Angeles Time Criticâ•Ó s Choice Awards. Mehr holds her Masters (Acting / Pedagogy) and B.A. in Acting from the University of California- Irvine & Actors Center, NYC. She served as Assistant Director to RESPECT, both in New York and on its pre-regional tours, and is thrilled to support the mammoth gifts of Dr. Dorothy Marcic, who makes her astonishing regional theater debut with this extraordinary work. This is just the beginning!

Ryan Mowatt- Stage Manager
Ryan is a Florida native who is very involved in the local music scene. He has been Stage Managing since 2001 and has done such shows as FAUST, THE STUDENT PRINCE, and THE MIKADO for Gold Coast Opera. Other recent credits include CARMEN, LA TRAVIATA, and DIALOGUE OF THE CARMELITES with the Palm Beach Opera.

Zachariah Phillips - Scenic Designer
Zac has been the Production Coordinator here at the Cuillo Centre since the beginning. Although this is his first official scenic design for the theatre Zac has technical directed and or production coordinated every show the Cuillo Centre has produced. Zac holds a B.A. in Technical Theatre from Florida State University School of Theatre. Before joining the staff at the Cuillo Centre for the Arts some of Zac's Credits include; Production Manager for the Dixie Theatre, Production Coordinator for the Southern Shakespeare Festival, Assistant Technical Director for the New Harmony Theater and production Manager at FSU's Studio Theatre.

Ardean Landhuis - Lighting Designer
"Dean" is proud to celebrate his 20th year as a professional Lighting Designer with this new production of RESPECT. Regional design credits include productions of EVITA, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, the Western Premiere of A SHAYNA MAIDEL and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Opera audiences have seen his designs for RIGOLETTO, MADAMA BUTTERFLY, CAVALERIA RUSTICANA, I PAGLIACCI, LA CENERENTOLA and THE BARBER OF SEVILLE to name a few. South Florida audiences have most recently seen his work in IF YOU EVER LEAVE ME, I'M GOING WITH YOU at the Parker and Poincianna Playhouses. Industrial lighting projects have included Disney's Cirque Du Soleil, Universal Studios' City Walk, Marco Visconti (Indianapolis) and the MTV Latin America studios. An Equity Actor/Stage Manager and professional Opera Singer, Dean currently resides in Hobe Sound with his lovely wife, Virginia.

James A. Crockett- Sound Designer
James studied Graphic Design at Pratt Institute in New York. He has been involved in the music, recording and entertainment business since 1972 and has won numerous Addy Awards for his advertising jingles. In 1985 he began his engineering career and was Studio Manager and Chief Engineer at a prominent professional recording facility. Mr. Crockett's theatre credits include; actor, singer & musician for ALWAYS PATSY CLINE at Florida Stage, Crest Theatre and Riverside Theatre and A CLOSER WALK WITH PATSY CLINE at the Clematis Street Theatre under the direction of Ron Palillo. Currently, he serves as the House Sound Engineer for the Cuillo Centre and has designed and mixed sound for such shows as PHANTOM, GEORGE GERSHWIN ALONE, THE BETRAYAL OF NORA BLAKE.

Ron Browning - Vocal Coach
A native of eastern Kentucky, Ron Browning has been immersed in both performing and fine arts since childhood. He earned a BME in voice and piano from the University of Kentucky. While living in Los Angeles, Ron earned a Professional Designation in Recording Arts and Sciences from UCLA on full scholarship from ASCAP and BMI. Ron is a prolific songwriter, and has written for RCA, ATV, and Paramount. Ron has produced and directed professional theater and conducted and arranged music for choirs. He is an accomplished jazz pianist, and currently teaches voice both privately and at the Nashville Jazz Workshop.

Bob Cuillo - Chief Executive Officer of The Cuillo Centre for the Arts/Producer
is a long-time resident of Palm Beach and New York and has been involved in the performing arts as a producer, former musician and recording artist. He co-produced the Broadway play So Long on Lonely Street and was a partner in the 1979 Jerry Lewis comeback film Hardly Working. His recent productions include The Florida Follies at the Parker Playhouse, the Palm Beach, New York and Boston productions of Menopause The Musical, the Tony nominated Broadway musical Dream, the Broadway comedy More To Love both the Broadway and the London productions of Jackie: An American Life, the Broadway production of Epic Proportions, directed by Jerry Zaks and starring Kristin Chenowith, Associate Producer for the Off-Broadway 2000 Pulizter Prize winner Dinner with Friends, Co-Producer of the London production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and The Betrayal of Nora Blake. Bob is a major benefactor of the arts in the Palm Beaches and has supported the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, as well as many charitable causes. He is also the former president of the Florida Chapter of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums. He has served as director of the Governors Club and the Epilepsy Society of Palm Beach County. He is an active member of the Sail Fish Club of Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Yacht Club, and the Governors Club. In 1996, he was honored by the National Italian-American Foundation with their most prestigious award, The Presidents Award for Lifetime Achievement in Business. He is presently the Chairman & CEO of the Broadway production company Intermezzo Inc. and Stage Door Productions, Inc that produce shows both on Broadway, Off-Broadway and all over the world.

Richard Daft - Co-Producer
Dick Daft is a partner in Darse Productions and RESPECT is his first theatrical production. He became interested in theater production when his wife, Dorothy Marcic, wrote the musical, RESPECT: A Musical Journey of Women. His primary career is as a professor of business management at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He has written twelve books, including best-selling textbooks, on management and leadership, and he has consulted on management issues with many corporations. His hobby is involvement with start-up enterprises. Dick grew up in a small town in Nebraska and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska. He completed his graduate work in organization management at the University of Chicago. Dick has two daughters, Danielle and Amy, and four wonderful grandchildren from his previous marriage. He is proud to share parenting duties with Dorothy of their three daughters, Roxanne, Solange, and Elizabeth, who serve as global citizens by frequently volunteering, studying or working abroad.

Gail Shank - Co-Producer
Gail has been involved with the Cuillo Centre For The Arts since its inception here on Clematis Street and is please to have been an integral part of the theatre's success. She wishes to thank Mr. Cuillo for the opportunity to co-produce RESPECT with him, and would like to express her thanks to the cast and the crew of the show, as well as the staff at the Cuillo Centre for the support they have provided. It has been a wonderful experience to work with such a talented and strong group of individuals.
